Costume designer for the theatre and cinema since her graduation in Set Design in 1999, Laurence Hermant has always felt an attraction towards clothes in a precise spatial context, which has led her experience after experience to dedicate herself only to costumes.
She has collaborated with Anne-Cécile Vandalem since her first performance with company DAS FRAULEIN, designing the costumes for (Self) Service, Habituation, Utopia and Tristesses, while contributing to the conception and production of the set designed by Michel Dupont. She has also collaborated many times with Pascal Crochet and Michael Delaunoy, with whom she was able to experiment Opera costumes for a piece around Lolo Ferrari.
She has recently designed the costumes for Benedetto Sicca at the Stabile Napoli, alongside Frederick Denis. Together, they have created the costumes for the film “Préjudice” by Antoine Cuypers, for the series “La trêve” season 2 by Matthieu Daoust, for “Escapada” by Sarh Hirtt as well as for some short films.
